82 sq meter apartment in Bairro Alto, with 2 rooms: one dbl, one single and a sofa/bed for 2. Sleeps 5. LCD HD TV, with 4 sports channels, free internet and free local calls. Fully equipped with hair dryer and a Nesspresso coffee machine. The dinner table sits 6. There is an iPod stand and a radio/CD player and some English books. The street is really quiet. A second floor with good stairs, but no lift. Well decorated and cosy. Linen and towels are included except beach towels. All rooms with windows except bathroom, so there is a lot of light. Old restored building dating from the 19th century. Tiles unique to the owner family.A very typical old Portuguese building

Es un apartemente amplio, incluso para 5 personas, y muy bien ubicado. Está cerca de dos importantes estaciones de tren: de la estación de Rossio para poder ir a Sintra y de la estación de Cais do Sodré para para poder ir a la playa (por ejemplo Estoril o Cascais). Se encuentra en un barrio muy tranquilo y seguro, pues en la misma calle hay una comisaría de policia. Está cercano a una zona de bares para poder salir de noche.
El apartamente está muy bien equipado: televisión, DVD, acceso internet, cocina con horno, microondas, frigorífico, etc. Nada más llegar se ofrecen un par de móviles para poder llamar entre ellos y poder llamar a la dueña del piso, así como un GPS para poder moverse por la zona con el coche.
El trato fue excelente y creemos que por todo lo que se ofrece es un buen precio. (Maria Jose- Spain)

'We stayed at Aida\'s apartment in October/November 2010 for one week. The apartment is lovely! It is spacious and Aida has made it very homely. All facilities are modern and function properly. Lovely lounge with TV/DVD player, books, dvds and dining facilites plus comfy sofa. Kitchen very well equipped - including a NESPRESSO coffee maker! 2 lovely, comfy and well furnished bedrooms and a modern bathroom.
It is a lovely space and very much a home-from-home experience.
Apartment is well located - five minutes walk to shops, supermarket and gorgeous bakery/coffee shops. Portugese cakes are fabulous!!
The main town is 10 minutes walk away as is the railway station. Metro is about 5 minutes from the apartment. The police station is two doors down from the apartment so it is nice and quiet!!
We loved Lisbon. It is an interesting and vibrant city, but I think our stay was all the better for the lovely apartment. I would recommend it without reservation.' Carole

This was an excellent flat for our four day stay in Lisbon. It was clean and well equipped. The welcome arrangements were fine and fitted in with our flights. The position of the property was excellent for seeing Lisbon. Many attractions were in walking distance and there was the local novelty of catching trams and elevators when necessary. Nearby restaurants were friendly (but not pushy) and they had convenient opening times after a day of sightseeing. The only downside was the huge numbers of tourists (of which we were 3!) which meant considerable time consuming queuing. On reflection we would try to visit such places as Belem tower later in the afternoon when the coaches may have departed. We found a quiet and uncrowded haven in the Botanical gardens which is about 25 minutes walk uphill from the flat. The Oceanario is impressive in its modern surroundings but the more historic Lisbon, such as the superb Mosteiro dos Jeronimos, is preferable.

We stayed for ten days at the end of August and the first week of September. During this time it was very hot and sunny and it was always pleasant to return home to Aida’s cool, quiet, very comfortable and well equipped apartment which felt like home. During our stay we enjoyed living like a local resident in the historic Bairro Alto and going to the nearby supermarket, buying bread and cakes from the local shops and eating in local restaurants. But when we wanted to be a tourist everything was so easy and convenient to get to using the nearby trams, the metro, the ferries across the River Tejo and the trains for Estoril, Cascais and Sintra. As other guests have mentioned we were met by Aida on arrival. We have rented apartments in many European countries and it is not often that you meet the owner and someone as friendly as Aida who took the trouble to explain everything, answer our questions and take us on a short walking tour of the neighbourhood. We can recommend Aida’s apartment as one of the best we have rented in any European city. Roy and Anneke

We stayed for a week in this great apartment. It was very well equipped, clean and comfortable and exactly as described on the website. The location was excellent and everything was within easy walking distance. Aida was there to meet us and gave us a tour of the area and lots of useful tips about places to visit and cafes to eat at. She was very friendly and helpful and generous with her time. She even had two local mobile phones for our use whilst we were there. It was a wonderful base to return to after a day of walking and sightseeing. From the initial enquiry request Aida consistently responded promptly to all email communication. Thanks Aida for all your help. We highly recommended this apartment.

Aida\'s property was ideal for our family of five - it\'s clean, centrally located and has comfortable furnishings (in fact, the pullout bed was the best pullout bed I\'ve ever slept on). It\'s also right on the route of the 28E, which is great for sightseeing (if you can get on it). We had a wonderful stay.

The flat had everything we needed for our visit. Easy walking distance to the River front and to use the Metro, Trams and Trains. Restaurants and cafes in the Square at the end of the road. Lisbon is a charming City with so many wonderful sights to see. Would definitely return.

We met Aida at the flat after transfer with Jose which Aida had arranged for us. Aida showed us around the beautiful flat & explained how to use the coffee maker, washing machine etc. The flat is fully equipped with everything you need, even down to mobile phones and a Sat Nav if you need one. Aida then took us on a walk to point out various coffee shops & for us to get our bearings. We loved the Barrio Alto area, loads of cafes, bars & restaurants. The flat is in a quiet location but very close to all the night life. I can thoroughly recommend this flat, Aida had thought of everything to make our visit comfortable. Fab city & easy transport links to other areas. Thank you Aida.
