The charming small city of Alcacer do Sal at the banks of the along the Sado river - with large supermarkets and excellent typical restaurants - lies 15km (~15min) away.
At the same distance to the west and you\'ll find the long golden beach of Troia/Comporta/Carvalhal:
- 60km of uninterrupted golden & fine sand bathed by crystalline calm waters - with several superb sea food restaurants along the whole beach. Sitting any of these at a sunset is an unforgettable experience !
Closer to the house , at about 2 km you have the renowned A Escola restaurant with portuguese Alentejo cuisine and a bit farer away the little village of Carrapateira with a number of delicious and low cost sea-food restaurants and the extremely interesting palafitic fishermen piers at the Sado river.
