The castle and the park
On the edge of the tranquil waters of the Aigronne, overlooking the old mill, the Château de Ré awaits you in the middle of its 4-hectare park.
According to Abbé Bosseboeuf, historiographer of the diocese of Tours from 1894 to 1928, the castle of Ré - formerly Ray Castle - was built around 1510 by Christophe de Couché. This former stronghold dependent on the castle of Sainte Julitte had as last Lord Eusebius Felix Chaspoux, count of Loches and grand dungeon of France.

The rooms:-

Agnes Sorel Room:-

Located on the first floor, the room Agnes Sorel , so named because of the portrait of Agnes Sorel that adorns the fireplace, is undoubtedly the most emblematic of the castle. With its large four-poster bed, the centerpiece of this room decorated with authentic furniture, it will transport you in a medieval atmosphere.

Private bathroom, with bath and shower. Separate WC.

Diane Chamber of Poitiers:-

It is one of the largest and probably the most elegant rooms on the first floor, with its golden yellow hangings, fireplace and small lounge. Enlightened by two large windows, it enjoys a view of the large lawn and trees.

Very large en suite bathroom with double bath, shower and toilet.

Additional bed (s) and cot on reservation only, supplement of 10 euros.

House of Dauphine:-

More intimate , this room with its window overlooking the pond will delight you with its romanticism and its walls lined with flowers.

Private bathroom decorated with Italian porcelain, with bath and toilet.

The three bedrooms on the first floor open onto a large lounge. Possibility to privatize the whole floor to form a suite that can accommodate from 6 to 8 people.

Alienor Chamber of Aquitaine:-

Located on the 3rd floor, it is the largest room of the castle and certainly the most surprising with its gorgeous and classified stuffing. In spite of its exceptional surface, the four-poster bed which occupies the center makes it a warm and intimate place.

En suite bathroom, with bath, shower and toilet.

Additional bed (s) and cot on reservation only, supplement of 10 euros.

Cardinal Room:-

Neighboring the Aliénor room of Aquitaine, the Cardinale room owes its name to its tommettes and its purple walls. It is furnished with two twin beds and is perfect for two teenagers or two people who do not want to sleep in one bed.
Private bathroom, with bath, shower and toilet.

Possibility to book together Aliénor d'Aquitaine room and Cardinale room to constitute a family suite for 4 to 6 people.
