The Bois de la Madeleine is a small town that is located 5 km from Vezelay and its eternal hill, It refers to the Abbey of the Madeleine, and its woods are just on the west side of the basilica. You will find fields, woods to pick mushrooms and blackberries, paths very pleasant to go and a quiet place where the nights are particularly starred, without light pollution.
You will be able to discover if you observe well a multitude of birds: shepherdettes, sitelles, tits, and cocks pheasants, the night you will be able to sometimes hear the song of the nightingale. A real haven of peace.
