Description
Come relax at the Acorn Cottage nestled in the Pocono Mountains. The cottage is a modified A-frame with the comforts of home and the charm of the outdoors. With two state parks nearby, the cabin sleeps six and is close to many area attractions. This is a top region for white water rafting with dam releases weekly for great rapids. You can take advantage of all the outdoors has to offer: fish local waterways, white water raft, tube, kayak, bike, hike or take in a round of golf. You can also visit the quaint town of Jim Thorpe, ride the scenic train, shop at a variety of outlets or spend the evening at one of two casinos. Camelback and Pocono Downs is also within a short driving distance. If this doesn't sound like fun, you can warm yourself by the campfire roasting marshmallows, take a quiet walk in the woods and view the many deer or enjoy a game in the upstairs loft.
The gated community has a playground, lake for non-motorized boats and a pool that is open from Memorial Day through Labor Day.
